Personal Pilgrimage

What is a pilgrimage?
A pilgrimage can be a geographic trip to Machu Pichu, to the Lincoln Memorial or to Pt. Reyes when the wild flowers burst into bloom. But whether to an exotic place or right in the midst of your “normal” life, a pilgrimage is an inner journey. It is an intention to surrender and transform habitual limiting behaviors in exchange for deeper truth and a lasting fulfillment. A disappointment or a detour becomes an invitation to reflect, follow an intuition, turn in a new direction, or take a risk on the labyrinth of life.
In the Spring 2009 I was invited to be part of a film crew making a documentary about the Camino de Santiago, a centuries old pilgrimage route in Northern Spain. On the door of the Albergueria Andres Munoz in Viana, one of the hostels along way, I saw a sign that said:
The tourist has expectations and demands;
the pilgrim accepts what is offered with gratitude.
I’d like to support and encourage you to live your life as a pilgrim. When met with awareness and skillfulness, whatever occurs can become an opportunity to awaken to the fullness of who you are. I provide individual sessions as well as a Heart of Pilgrimage group to create a conscious structure for connecting to your life as a creative, spiritual adventure. This innovative support group for bringing the grace of pilgrimage into our everyday lives, will next be offered as an eight-week class meeting in North Berkeley. It includes 8 Tuesday evenings March 9-April 27, 2010, as well as a Saturday walk in Tilden Park lead by naturalist Michael Gardner.

Hi Mani,
Love your website. You are one busy girl, eh.
The “Pilgrimage” interests me. Although my travels through life have been inner journeys, I am feeling more isolated these days and would like to be part of a group of conscious people.
I am also interested in the Activating Intuition group.
It will be great to see you again – and also doing what you do so well.
Love,
Lolli
